Melanie C. Griffin is an Associate Professor of Biology and Interim Department Chair at Kennesaw State University's Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, College of Science and Mathematics. She serves as Director of Special Programs and Principal Investigator for NSF LSAMP, NIH Bridges to Doctorate, and NIH U-RISE initiatives.
Research Focus:
- Bacterial pathogenesis mechanisms in Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Epigenetic regulation of microbial metabolism and virulence factors
- Phage therapy applications against ESKAPE pathogens
