معرفی
Prof. Meike Stöhr is a Professor at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Surfaces and Thin Films group within the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials. Her research focuses on surface science, molecular self-assembly, and graphene, with a particular emphasis on understanding intermolecular interactions and surface-mediated chemical reactions. She leads a research team investigating phenomena like quantum corrals, organic polymer formation on metal surfaces, and molecular electronics.
Her expertise includes scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), on-surface synthesis, and the design of nanoporous molecular networks. Recent work explores chiral-selective polymerization, adsorption dynamics on graphene vs. metallic surfaces, and the role of adatoms in surface reactions. She collaborates internationally and contributes to advancing nanotechnology applications in electronics and materials science.
Prof. Stöhr’s lab is equipped for high-resolution surface characterization and has pioneered studies on confined molecular systems. Her research bridges fundamental surface science with practical applications in 2D materials and molecular engineering.
