Mehmet Akar

Mehmet Akar is a full-time Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Boğaziçi University. His research focuses on control systems, networked control systems, multi-agent coordination, wireless communication, and optimization algorithms. He has contributed extensively to the fields of distributed consensus protocols, resilient networks, and resource allocation in heterogeneous systems.

His work integrates mathematical system theory with practical applications in automotive systems, wireless networks, and industrial process control. Key research themes include cluster consensus in multi-agent networks, Byzantine-resilient algorithms, and adaptive control strategies for complex systems.
