Meheli Sen is an Associate Professor in South Asian and Global Cinemas at Rutgers University's College Avenue Campus. She holds a Ph.D. from Emory University and has taught at the University of Oklahoma and DePaul University. Her research focuses on post-independence Indian cinema, particularly Hindi and Bengali films, with emphasis on gender, genre, modernity, globalization, and new media cultures.
