Meghna Lowalekar

Meghna Lowalekar is a Data Science Consultant at THB and a Visiting Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad). She completed her PhD in July 2020 under the guidance of Associate Professor Pradeep Varakantham (Singapore Management University) and Professor Patrick Jaillet (MIT).

• B.Tech and MS in Computer Science from IIIT-Hyderabad (2009), where her master's thesis focused on access control and failure resilience in workflows.
• Worked as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm (Hyderabad) on adaptive video streaming protocols (HTTP Live Streaming, MPEG-DASH), followed by a year at Microsoft (Hyderabad) in Bing Local Search.
• Joined Singapore Management University as a Research Engineer in 2014, later pursuing her PhD there.

Her research spans Online Stochastic Optimization, Sequential Decision Making, Influence Maximization, and Game Theory, with applications in machine learning and decision-making systems.
