Meghdad Asadilari

Meghdad Asadilari serves as Assistant Professor at the School of Film and Animation within the College of Art and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Professor Asadilari teaches courses spanning animation fundamentals to advanced visual effects techniques, with expertise in 2D/3D animation, motion picture science, and digital compositing.

His research focuses on the innovative fusion of traditional Persian calligraphy with contemporary digital animation techniques, creating culturally rich visual narratives. Specializing in Adobe After Effects, Autodesk Maya, SideFX Houdini, and Unreal Engine, his work bridges artistic expression with technical proficiency. His creative practice explores how cultural heritage can be reimagined through digital media while maintaining authenticity.
