Meghan O’Rourke is Professor in the Practice of English and Creative Writing at Yale University and Editor of The Yale Review. An acclaimed poet, memoirist, and critic, her work explores themes of chronic illness, grief, and the human condition through multiple genres including poetry, memoir, and cultural criticism.
Her scholarly interests include reimagining narratives around chronic illness through literary forms. O’Rourke has received numerous prestigious awards including Guggenheim and Radcliffe Fellowships, Whiting Nonfiction Award, and two Pushcart Prizes. She teaches courses on editing and public writing.
