Meghan Fair is an Associate Teaching Professor and Co-Director of the CAS Transition Courses in the Department of English & Communication at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She specializes in first-year writing programs, digital pedagogy, and academic literacy. Her roles include teaching courses such as CAS 103: Intro to the Arts & Sciences and ENL 101/102: Critical Writing & Reading, which focus on argumentation, synthesis, and research skills.
Dr. Fair holds doctoral coursework in English from the University of Rhode Island, an MA in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a BA in English from Skidmore College. She has presented nationally on integrating digital technology into rhetoric instruction and best practices for critical reading.
Recognized for her teaching excellence, she received the 2022 Leo M. Sullivan Teacher of the Year Award and the 2019 Provost's Award for Teaching and Learning with Technology. Her work emphasizes student transition support and innovative approaches to composition instruction.
