Megan So-Young Lim, MD, PhD, is an attending pathologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), specializing in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology. Her expertise lies in diagnosing and understanding lymphomas, particularly T-cell lymphomas, through cellular and molecular mechanisms. She completed her education at the University of Calgary (MD, PhD) and trained in anatomic pathology and hematopathology. Dr. Lim holds board certifications in Anatomic Pathology, Hematology, and Molecular Genetic Pathology.
Her research focuses on the genetic basis of lymphomas, including peripheral T-cell lymphomas, and the role of molecular pathways in cancer progression. She has contributed to advancements in diagnostic techniques and therapeutic targets in hematologic malignancies. Dr. Lim’s work integrates proteomics and genomic approaches to uncover mechanisms driving lymphoma pathogenesis.
Key honors include being named a Best Doctor of America (2005–2014) and winning the Michigan Collegiate Innovation Prize in Healthcare (2014). She has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, spanning molecular diagnostics, lymphoma classification, and translational research in cancer biology.
