Dr. Megan Jones is an Assistant Professor and USGS Assistant Unit Leader in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences at Oregon State University. As a conservation social scientist, she studies how communication strategies influence conservation behaviors.
Her research examines relational organizing campaigns that encourage sustainable practices like wildlife gardening and human-bear coexistence. She collaborates with natural resource organizations on impact evaluation, strategic planning, and conflict resolution. Recent publications focus on psychological interventions for environmental engagement and audience segmentation for conservation behaviors.
