معرفی
Megan Fritz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research focuses on understanding insect evolution in response to environmental changes, particularly human-mediated changes, using genomic and computational approaches.
Her research interests include Evolutionary Genomics, Insect Evolution, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology. The Fritz lab employs molecular, genomic, and computational tools to identify genomic variants that facilitate adaptation in arthropods. She is affiliated with the Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and Genomics research cluster and the Biology, Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics research cluster of the Biological Sciences Graduate Program.
The Fritz lab, located in Symons Hall, is dedicated to advancing the understanding of arthropod evolutionary genomics. The lab actively participates in the Biological Sciences Graduate Program and offers research opportunities for students interested in computational and genomic approaches to evolutionary biology. More details about current projects and how to join the lab can be found on the lab's website: https://www.meganfritzlab.com/.
