Dr. Megan Eatman is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of English at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in English (Rhetoric) from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
Her research focuses on public rhetorics, visual rhetoric, and digital rhetoric, with an emphasis on how rhetoric constructs harm and resistance. Her monograph Ecologies of Harm (2020) redefines how scholars analyze violence's constitutive cultural impact. Current work explores vernacular uses of scientific evidence and algorithmic ethics in technology.
