Megan Ady serves as Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Mary Baldwin University. She is based at Murphy Deming College of Liberal Arts and holds dual roles in clinical practice and academia.
Education: B.S. in Biochemistry & Mathematics from Roanoke College (2010), M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University (2013). Professional certifications include Nationally Certified Medical Examiner (DOT), AHA BLS/HeartSaver/First Aid Instructor, and EMT with advanced ACLS/PALS certifications.
Research interests focus on clinical education methodologies, rural healthcare access, and interdisciplinary team training in urgent care settings. Her career bridges direct patient care and educator roles, emphasizing practical skills development for future PAs.
Advising & Clinical Engagement: Maintains active clinical practice in urgent care while mentoring students through clinic rotations. Collaborates with Bath Community Hospital during staffing shortages and leads staff training programs.
Community Involvement: Volunteer EMT with local rescue squad, owner of Lady Ady's boutique, and advocate for health education initiatives in rural Virginia.
