Mead McLean is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah, GA (2023–present). He holds an M.F.A. and B.F.A. in Painting from SCAD. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Art at Lone Star College (2014–22), Department Chair of Art, Drama, and Humanities there (2017–21), and has held adjunct roles at institutions like Prince George's Community College (2023). He also operates Mead McLean Studios in Washington, D.C. (2012–present).

Research/Practice Focus: McLean's work spans painting, digital art, and art education.
