Roles and Affiliations: Md Rumi Shammin is the David Orr Professor of Environmental Studies & Sciences at Oberlin College, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. He served as Chair of the Environmental Studies program from 2015–2019 and 2023–2024. He has been affiliated with Oberlin since 2007, following postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and teaching at North South University in Bangladesh (1996–2001).
