معرفی
Mckenzie Wang is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University. His research focuses on geometric questions involving Ricci curvature, including Einstein metrics, Ricci flow, and their applications in mathematical physics. He is also interested in symmetries and topological properties in geometric contexts.
- Education: Ph.D. from Stanford University (1980), A.B. from Princeton University (1976).
Research interests span algebraic and differential geometry, with a strong emphasis on geometric analysis and mathematical physics. Key areas include the study of cohomogeneity one Einstein metrics, Ricci solitons, and stability of geometric structures. Recent work explores ancient solutions of the Ricci flow and the stability of Einstein metrics on fiber bundles.
Teaching includes courses such as Differential Geometry (MATH 762), Advanced Calculus I (MATH 2X03), and Complex Analysis I (MATH 3X03), with a focus on graduate-level topics in mathematics.
