معرفی
Dr. Małgorzata Franz serves as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Physics and Applied Computer Science within the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics at Gdańsk University of Technology. Her office is located in Building B, room 519. With over two decades of research experience documented in 25 publications, Dr. Franz has established herself as a prominent researcher in molecular physics and organic electronics.
Dr. Franz's research focuses on two primary domains: positron-molecule interactions and organic semiconductor materials. Her work encompasses:
- Positron and positronium scattering with organic molecules
- Monte Carlo simulations of particle interactions in biological and organic materials
- Thin film transistors based on pentacene and tetracene derivatives
- Photovoltaic properties of organic materials
- Charge carrier generation, transport, and recombination mechanisms
- Development of organic-based gas sensors
Analysis of Dr. Franz's publication record reveals a clear evolution in her research trajectory. Early in her career (2002-2011), she concentrated on fundamental properties of organic semiconductors, particularly charge carrier behavior in tetracene and pentacene layers. Around 2011-2017, her work expanded to include applications of organic electronics, especially in gas sensing and photovoltaic devices. Since 2017, there has been a pronounced shift toward positron physics, with numerous publications on positron scattering, annihilation, and Monte Carlo simulations of positron interactions with organic molecules. Her most recent work (2023-2025) demonstrates sophisticated computational approaches to modeling positron and positronium behavior in complex materials systems, particularly focusing on benzene and biological materials.
