Małgorzata Burnecka is a Lecturer at the University of Wrocław’s Institute of Sociology since 2006. She also taught at the University of Lower Silesia (2006–2008) and the University of Business in Wrocław (2017–2018). Her research focuses on sociological theory, communication theory, and innovation studies. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences (2009) and dual MA degrees in Sociology and Cultural Studies (both from University of Wrocław, 2005).

Her teaching spans Polish and English courses on sociology, media ethics, open science, and intercultural mediation. She co-created the Intercultural Mediation studies program and pioneered the Open Science course for PhD students. Her work bridges theory and practice, covering topics like free culture movements, digital ethics, and global communication.
Outside academia, she serves as CEO of the Wroclife Foundation and participates in NGOs advocating for electoral reform and entrepreneurship. She holds PRINCE2 project management certifications (2017).
