May Helen Midtbust

May Helen Midtbust is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Ålesund. She holds dual roles as Deputy Head of Education for the Bachelor in Nursing program and Research Group Leader of the 'Practice-oriented research - development of health professionals' expertise (PREX)' group. Her work focuses on palliative care for dementia patients, advance care planning, and healthcare professional development. Midtbust earned her RN, MSc, and PhD qualifications, with research emphasizing qualitative methodologies to explore ethical challenges in long-term care settings.
