May-Britt Søndergaard Justesen is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Aalborg University, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. She is actively involved in teaching, research, and professional development within social work practice.
Her research interests focus on social work with children, youth, and families, as well as vulnerable and disabled individuals. She emphasizes communication in citizen interviews, holistic approaches, problem-based learning (PBL), and specific methodologies such as the ICS and adult assessment methods. Her work is deeply rooted in practical application and improving professional standards in social work.
