Maximilian Engel

Dr. Maximilian Engel is an Assistant Professor (UD1, tenured) at the Korteweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics (KdV Institute), University of Amsterdam. He concurrently leads the MATH+ Research Group on 'Random and Multiscale Dynamical Systems' at Freie Universität Berlin's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. His research focuses on stochastic dynamics, metastability, synchronization phenomena, and applications in complex systems and machine learning theory.
