Max Conrad is a Professor at the LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture with 50 years of teaching experience. He holds degrees from LSU (B.S.) and Harvard (MLA), and was awarded the prestigious Charles Eliot Traveling Fellowship. His expertise focuses on urban design and regional planning.
Professor Conrad organizes extensive international field studies, leading students to Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, India, and China. He also facilitates global internships and domestic field trips across North America. His pedagogical approach integrates global perspectives with practical design applications.
He received the 2013 Jot D. Carpenter Teaching Medal from the American Society of Landscape Architects, recognizing his exceptional contributions to landscape architecture education spanning five decades.
