Mauro Mosconi is a part-time Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia's Faculty of Engineering, where he conducts research in the Computer Vision and Multimedia Laboratory. His academic work focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), eye-tracking applications, and Digital Humanities. He holds a PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the same institution.
His research explores:
- Visual interaction techniques and gaze-based interfaces
- Usability testing methodologies
- Applications of eye-tracking in psychology, linguistics and marketing
- Digital humanities research approaches
Mosconi teaches courses in Human-Computer Interaction for Computer Engineering students and Persuasive Design for the Digital Communication program. He previously taught Web Design in several master's programs including the European Master in Media Science and Technology.
Professionally, he founded one of Italy's first web agencies in 1995 and currently runs the publishing project PSYCOMIX alongside his academic work.
