Maurizio Basili

Maurizio Basili holds the position of Professor of Culture and Institutions - German Language at the G. D'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara, with additional teaching roles at the University of International Studies of Rome and the University Telematica "Guglielmo Marconi". He has served in multiple editorial roles, including director of the poetry series at Portaparole Publishing since 2012 and editorial consultant since 2010. His academic journey includes a PhD in Comparative Modern Cultures from the University of Cassino (2011), a Master's in European and American Languages and Literatures from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2007), and a Degree in Modern Languages from the same institution (2003).

His research focuses on German-speaking Swiss literature, contemporary literary trends, and cultural studies, particularly exploring authors like Robert Walser and Thomas Hürlimann. He has been actively involved in academic publishing, including tasks assigned by the Italian Institute of Germanic Studies for volumes on Heine and Nietzsche, and has contributed to editorial boards of journals like "Trame" (2017-2018). His teaching spans German language, literature, and philology across multiple universities, often in e-learning formats.
