معرفی
Dr. Maurits den Boer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group, Utrecht University's Faculty of Science. Since obtaining his PhD in 2023 with the thesis Exploring Humoral Immune Responses by Mass Spectrometry, he has focused on developing analytical tools for studying human immune responses through antibody repertoire analysis and de novo sequencing. His work enables discovery of human antibodies from small-volume samples using mass spectrometry-based approaches.
Research Interests center on:
- Mass spectrometry of immunoglobulins
- Antibody repertoire analysis
- De novo sequencing of post-translationally modified antibodies
- Clinical proteomics applications
- Immune complex characterization
Recent Publications (2020-2024) demonstrate expertise in:
- Antibody structure-function relationships
- Complement system interactions
- Immune response profiling in infectious diseases
- Advanced MS techniques for glycoproteins
- Comparative analysis of IgG/IgA/IgM repertoires
His work has been applied to:
- COVID-19 antibody response characterization
- Kidney transplant proteome monitoring
- Bacterial immune evasion mechanisms
- Mother-infant antibody transfer
