Maud Lemoine

Professor Maud Lemoine is a Professor and Honorary Consultant in Hepatology at Imperial College London’s Faculty of Medicine. She leads the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, focusing on viral hepatitis prevention and management in Africa, particularly The Gambia and Senegal through the WHO-backed PROLIFICA program. Her research emphasizes resource-limited settings, involving collaborations with the Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust, and WHO.

Education: Medical degree and PhD from Paris, France, with a political science degree from the Paris Institute of Political Studies. Her work spans hepatitis B treatment guidelines, maternal-child transmission prevention, and non-invasive fibrosis markers. Awards include the Frederick Murgatroyd Memorial Prize (2018) and EASL Young Investigator Award (2005).
