Maud Ceuterick is a Researcher in Film and Media Studies at the University of Bergen's Department of Information Science and Media Studies. She leads the EU-funded DIGISCREENS project (2022-2025), examining digital screen practices and identities across Europe. Her work focuses on gender, space, and power in film, digital media, and immersive technologies like VR/AR. Ceuterick holds a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (2018-2020) for her research on post-cinematic narratives and affirmative aesthetics.
Key affiliations include the Research Group for Emerging Media, Electronic Literature Research Group, and Foundational Questions in Gender and Sexuality Research. Her publications include the monograph Affirmative Aesthetics and Wilful Women (2020) and articles on queer digital spaces, streaming platforms, and spatial theory. Current projects involve mapping queer archives and studying Norwegian queer domesticities (1842–1972).
Teaching highlights include courses on visual language, feminist cinema, and media technology. Grants include CHANSE ERA-NET funding and Horizon 2020 support. Her research emphasizes videographic methods, combining academic rigor with creative dissemination strategies.
