معرفی
Matthias Weiszflog is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Applied Nuclear Physics, Uppsala University. His work focuses on nuclear fusion, plasma physics, and tokamak diagnostics, with a strong emphasis on disruption prediction and machine learning applications. He has contributed extensively to JET (Joint European Torus) research, particularly in neutron spectroscopy, plasma-wall interactions, and ITER-like wall campaigns.
His research explores tokamak reactor stability through control-oriented strategies, neutron detection systems (TOFOR), and digital teaching methodologies in thermodynamics. Publications highlight collaborations with international teams on topics such as tritium retention, beryllium erosion, and advanced diagnostics for fusion plasmas.
Recent work includes machine learning for disruption prediction, synthetic diagnostics for alpha particles, and modeling of fuel retention in tungsten divertors. He has co-authored over 20 articles in journals like Nature Communications, Nuclear Fusion, and Review of Scientific Instruments.
