Matthias Nießner

Prof. Matthias Nießner is a Professor at the Technical University of Munich, where he leads the Visual Computing Lab. Prior to this, he held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Stanford University. His work bridges computer vision, graphics, and machine learning, focusing on 3D reconstruction, semantic scene understanding, and AI-driven video synthesis.

Prof. Nießner has published over 150 works in top venues like SIGGRAPH, CVPR, and ECCV, with several receiving best paper awards (SIGCHI’14, HPG’15, SPG’18, SIGGRAPH’16 Emerging Tech).
