معرفی
Matthias Kawski is President's Professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University. His research focuses on nonlinear control theory, dynamical systems, and mathematical visualization with applications to geometric control and robotics.
His work develops combinatorial and algebraic approaches to controllability, stabilization of nonlinear systems, and numerical methods for differential equations. A pioneer in educational visualization, he created interactive tools for teaching vector calculus and differential equations.
- President's Professor (2015)
- Charles Wexler Teaching Award (1994)
He directs Navajo Nation Math Circles and leads NSF-funded projects enhancing mathematics education pathways. His research and visualization tools support understanding of curvature flows, conservation laws, and control system design.
