Dr Matthias Dörrzapf is a College Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at St John's College, University of Cambridge. He serves as Director of Studies, Director of Scholarships and International Programmes, and Acting Tutor for Undergraduate Admissions. Dr Dörrzapf holds a PhD in Mathematics from Queens' College, Cambridge, and undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Karlsruhe.
Research Interests: Dr Dörrzapf's research spans algebraic structures in quantum field theories and financial mathematics. His work focuses on:
- Representation theory of superconformal algebras
- Classification of superconformal representations
- Symmetry algebras in conformal and topological field theories
- Applications of probability theory to credit risk management
- Collaborative projects with Deutsche Bank and KMV Corporation
