Matthew Turner, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Purdue Polytechnic's School of Engineering Technology in New Albany, Indiana. He teaches courses in communications, controls, and electric power systems while contributing to research in smart energy and distributed sensing technologies.

His research focuses on electrical power systems, smart grid modeling, and energy policy issues. Recently inducted into the Purdue University Teaching Academy (2024), he also received the Teaching Excellence Award in October 2024 for his contributions to engineering technology pedagogy.
