Matthew Tancreti is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, and dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
His research focuses on computer systems, software engineering, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. He has contributed to projects in wireless sensor networks, system-level debugging (e.g., TARDIS framework), and embedded systems profiling (e.g., Aveksha tool). His work is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, Air Force, Missile Defense Agency, and industry partners. Tancreti co-founded a startup focused on IoT product development, demonstrating his industry-academia collaboration.
