Matthew T Peller

Matthew T Peller, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is affiliated with Froedtert Hospital and specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and endotherapy for Barrett's Esophagus. His clinical expertise spans pancreatic diseases, bile duct disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr. Peller completed his MD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University. He pursued fellowships in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (Northwestern University) and Advanced Endoscopy (Washington University). He is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.

His research focuses on improving endoscopic techniques for pancreatic cyst diagnosis, biomarker development, and optimization of gastrointestinal interventions. Recent work includes studies on EUS-guided drainage, scoring systems for achalasia, and management of post-bariatric surgical complications.

Dr. Peller’s clinical practice emphasizes minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders. He is actively involved in training the next generation of gastroenterologists through academic mentorship and procedural teaching.
