Matthew Potteiger

Matthew Potteiger is a Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). He holds an MLA from the University of California, Berkeley (1982) and a BSLA from Pennsylvania State University (1978). His work integrates cultural practices, food systems, and sustainable design through community-based initiatives like Syracuse Grows and Food Plan CNY. He co-authored Landscape Narratives: Design Practices for Telling Stories, recognized by the ASLA for advancing narrative approaches in landscape design.
