Dr. Matthew Pollock is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Spanish at Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS), serving as Interim Chair of the Department of English and Foreign Languages. He holds dual PhDs in Hispanic Linguistics and Linguistics from Indiana University (2023), with prior teaching experience in Germany via a Fulbright Scholarship and Spain through the IU Honors Program. His research focuses on sociolinguistics, phonetics/phonology, bilingualism, second language acquisition, and usage-based approaches.
