Matthew Lopez

Matthew Lopez is a Lecturer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) since 2017, affiliated with the School of Architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Design Theory and Pedagogy from SCI-Arc. His research explores technology-aesthetics relationships in contemporary culture, alongside design practice through Optica Studio, which spans architecture, interiors, and art installations.

Co-edited SCI-Arc’s Offramp journal and actively participates in architectural discourse through lectures and collaborations.
