Matthew Lawrence is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Alfred State College (SUNY) since 2007, teaching core courses in machine design, fluid power, and renewable energy systems while establishing the institution's specialized fluid power program.
His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with Machine Design specialization from The Pennsylvania State University (2007), an M.S. in the same field (2004), and a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering with Power and Machinery focus (1997).
Lawrence's research pioneers sustainable solutions for plastic waste conversion into fuel, advancing fluid power education and agricultural machinery design.
