Matthew Ireland is a Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with Sidney Sussex College. He serves as Director of Studies and College Teaching Associate in Computer Science, organizing supervisions and mentoring students across all three years of the Computer Science Tripos.
His research focuses on the design and implementation of electronic test equipment, with current work involving high-precision GPS timing software. Past projects explored computer vision applications in micromanufacturing, while his side interests include machine learning for music composition/analysis and history of information.
