Matthew Hollrah, Ph.D., is a Professor of English and Director of Composition at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he has taught since 2007. His administrative roles include former English department chair and associate dean of the Jackson College of Graduate Studies.
Education:
Hollrah holds a B.A. in English from Oklahoma State University (1995), an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University (2000), and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Kansas (2005).
Research Interests:
His scholarship centers on composition pedagogy, creative writing, and literary criticism. He authored the textbooks So What? and Now What?, and his poetry appears in journals like Artful Dodge and Parabola. His research explores theoretical frameworks for teaching writing and creative expression.
