Scientia Professor Matthew Heathcote England is a leading climate scientist at the University of New South Wales, affiliated with the Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences school. His research focuses on large-scale ocean circulation, climate variability, and Southern Hemisphere climate dynamics using ocean models, observations, and theoretical approaches.
- Research Interests: Southern Ocean circulation, global ocean carbon cycle, Antarctic ice melt, tropical teleconnections, water-mass formation, Southern Annular Mode, and paleoclimate processes.
