معرفی
Matthew Haner is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics at Mansfield University. He teaches courses including Introduction to Statistics (STAT-141), Precalculus (MATH-140), and Mathematical Thinking (MATH-101/101A), delivering instruction through both online and traditional classroom formats.
Professor Haner's research and teaching expertise spans multiple mathematical disciplines. His course materials demonstrate deep knowledge in voting theory (including preference schedules, plurality methods, Condorcet criterion, and Borda count), weighted voting systems (with focus on Banzhof and Shapley-Shubik power indices), fair division methods (Divider-chooser, lone-divider, Last Diminisher), and graph theory (Euler circuits, Hamilton paths, Traveling Salesperson Problem, and Kruskal's Algorithm). He has developed comprehensive curriculum materials that make complex mathematical concepts accessible to undergraduate students.
His teaching approach features structured weekly schedules with specific reading assignments, custom homework problems through Brightspace (D2L), and regular assessments including quizzes and examinations. Professor Haner maintains consistent office hours with both in-person and online (Zoom) availability to support student learning, demonstrating commitment to undergraduate education at Mansfield University.
