Matthew Dimmock is a Senior Lecturer in Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) at Keele University's School of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy. He holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Liverpool (2008), with postdoctoral research at Monash Centre for Synchrotron Science and the Australian Synchrotron. His research focuses on X-ray phase contrast imaging for low-dose cancer detection, forensic imaging analytics, and novel diagnostic techniques. He has held academic positions at Monash University (2013-2022) and currently leads projects at Keele. Key collaborations include work with Monash Biomedical Imaging, the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, and ANSTO Australian Synchrotron. He has secured over £2.8M in grants, including NHMRC Synergy Grants and Leidos Collaboration funding. His publications span medical physics, imaging technology, and educational innovations in radiography.
