Dr. Matthew Cipa is an Affiliate Research Fellow and Teaching Associate in Film and Television Studies at The University of Queensland's School of Communication and Arts. His work bridges film studies with philosophical inquiry, particularly exploring metaphysical dimensions of cinema and television. He holds a PhD in Metaphysical Film and Television from The University of Queensland (2020).
Research focuses on philosophical analysis of film form, directorial auteurism, and representation of abstract concepts like empathy and existence.
