Dr. Matthew Cheng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He serves as a Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) at the Glen site, affiliated with the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program. His research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with lethal infections through innovative clinical trials and diagnostic assay development.
Research Interests: Dr. Cheng investigates sepsis, bloodstream infections, and opportunistic infections in immunocompromised hosts, with particular emphasis on
