Dr. Matthew C. Trudeau is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His research focuses on molecular physiology of ion channels, particularly hERG potassium channels and cyclic nucleotide-gated (CNG) channels. He earned his PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under Dr. Gail Robertson and completed postdoctoral training with Dr. Bill Zagotta at the University of Washington and HHMI. Dr. Trudeau has held continuous NIH funding since 2004 and directs the T32 Training Program in Integrative Membrane Biology.
