Matthew Blacklock is a Senior Lecturer in the Mechanical and Construction Engineering Department at Northumbria University. His research focuses on composite materials, computational mechanics, and additive manufacturing, with applications spanning aerospace, naval engineering, and sustainable materials. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and has previously worked at the University of California, Santa Barbara (National Hypersonic Science Center) and RMIT University.
