Matthew B. Anderson

Matthew B. Anderson is a Professor and Director of the Urban and Regional Planning Program at Eastern Washington University. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Geography and Environmental Studies from Northeastern Illinois University. His expertise spans urban governance, gentrification, water resource management, critical social theory, homelessness, and housing affordability. He teaches courses such as PLAN 100: The City and PLAN 501: Planning Foundations, emphasizing sustainable communities and planning methodologies.
