Matt Grossmann is a Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University and Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (IPPSR). He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Niskanen Center and a contributor to FiveThirtyEight. His research focuses on American politics, public policy, political parties, and interest groups. Grossmann has authored influential books such as Asymmetric Politics and Red State Blues, which explore party dynamics and policy outcomes.
