Matt Bingham

Matt Bingham is a Part-time Professor of Law at the University of Arizona, focusing on Environmental Law, Real Property Law, and Water & Natural Resources Law. He is also the owner of MGB Law, PLLC in Tucson, AZ, where he assists clients with complex permitting and natural resource issues.

Matt previously served as Executive Director of Land & Public Affairs for Hudbay Minerals’ U.S. Business Unit in Tucson, overseeing legal, environmental, and public affairs for major projects like the Copper World Project in Arizona and the Mason Project in Nevada. Prior to that, he worked as an attorney at Lewis and Roca (now Womble Bond Dickinson) in Phoenix, specializing in regulatory and natural resource matters.

His professional expertise bridges legal practice with natural resource management, emphasizing environmental compliance and land-use policy. Outside academia, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, including biking and sports.
